what is shape strong?
Hamrammr is an Old Norse word which means, "Shape Strong.” It was used when talking about men and women who were able to change their shape, especially warriors who were able to turn into mighty animals or mythical creatures in battle.
I had Hamrammr tattooed on my knuckles after I had come to a place of acceptance in my own transformation, an acknowledgement of what I had been able to do as well as a covenant with myself to keep growing and evolving further. Powerlifting and barbell training helped me with my own transformation and now I want to help you with yours.
To me, becoming Shape Strong is about embracing and becoming your true self. It's about shedding the outer layers that we are hiding under and unleashing all the strength and power that we all possess and hold inside. It’s about being brave enough to be honest, about where you are now, who you are supposed to be, and about the work you are prepared to do to get there.
It’s not a short term goal, it’s not a quick fix, it’s not something you can take on lightly. It’s a commitment to yourself to become everything you know you can be, and pushing fear and doubt out of the way for the final time as you take the first of many steps forward.
